Enjoy a Restorative Sleep

Restoring your natural circadian rhythms is essential to your health

Sleep is an essential part of our health and poor sleep quality, whether you have problems falling asleep, staying asleep, or you’re just a light sleeper, poor sleep quality can have strong impacts on not only our daily functioning, but our long term health too.

Sleep is an essential part of our health and poor sleep quality,

Lack of quality sleep can contribute to symptoms such as memory loss, poor concentration, and can exacerbate mood, metabolic, and hormonal disorders.

Associated Conditions

The severity of many health conditions can be tied back to poor circadian (sleep-wake) rhythms. A good example of this is high blood pressure; having too much and too little sleep is associated with an increase in blood pressure. We also see a lot of evidence on the influence of our sleep on the function and balance of the immune systems as circadian pattern disruptions have been found to be associated with increased disease severity of immune-based health conditions. The basis of many chronic health conditions involve inflammation, and it has been found that poor sleep can cause, or be a result of, increased inflammation in the body. These are just some of the examples to demonstrate the importance of maintaining healthy sleep wake patterns for the management of many chronic health conditions.
